Men of the era

There was a similar duality at work when it came to male fashion. Most men wore work clothes (like those in Fangor’s painting) or three-piece suits and a nice shirt. Ties weren’t a necessary accessory. The ideal socialist man was supposed to be a responsible citizen dedicated to rebuilding his nation brick by brick.
