The trend for recycling (and upcycling) isn’t as new a phenomenon as some might believe. In post-war Poland, the task of reworking pieces of clothing and repurposing old materials had been in practice for decades. The most popular resources? Parachute fabric! These nylon and polyamide fabrics did an excellent job of imitating silk. Other military textiles were also incredibly useful.
